“I’ve been studying all the different pieces all my life, and when I discovered Permaculture, I saw it was the ‘Unified Field Theory,’ or maybe the Rosetta Stone of living on this planet. It puts so many pieces of the puzzle together, like suddenly discovering the picture on the box of the puzzle you’ve been trying to assemble blindly forever.” — William (RainCrow) Seward, recent Permaculture Design Course graduate.

Permaculture is a design system for creating sustainable human environments. You can apply permaculture principles to home-building and renovation; transportation and energy; business and economics; organizations; education; community projects; food production; landscaping; and all other areas of your life. Permaculture is a worldwide sustainability movement, founded in the 1970s by Australians Bill Mollison and David Holmgren.

The Austin Permaculture Guild is an informal association of permaculture design course graduates who are dedicated to teaching and practicing permaculture. To find out about our classes and free events, see the right-hand side of this page. And contact us anytime at 512-619-5363 or austinperm at permie dot us

And do join the Austinperm Yahoo Group to exchange ideas with several hundred like-minded people about permaculture topics from chickens to alternative finance. You may choose to receive emails in Regular or Digest mode.
